Delivery, Pickup & Showroom
Do you deliver furniture to Rochester, Buffalo, and the surrounding towns?
Yes. We deliver furniture, storage sheds, gazebos, outdoor playsets and swing sets, and outdoor/garden/patio furniture within a 100-mile radius. That covers Rochester, Buffalo, Syracuse, Niagara Falls, and the towns and small cities in between — Greece, Henrietta, Webster, Fairport, Pittsford, Penfield, Victor, Brockport, Canandaigua, Auburn, Geneva, and many more.
Does delivery include bringing the furniture inside and setting it up?
Yes. Our furniture delivery includes bringing your pieces inside and setting them up — bedroom sets, dining tables, sofas, sectionals, and the like. There’s a minimal delivery fee that just covers our cost; it varies with distance, from a small charge for nearby deliveries up to a higher fee for the longest hauls within our 100-mile radius. (Our sheds are delivered fully assembled, ready to use the day they arrive.)
Can I pick up my order myself from the North Chili showroom?
Yes. Customers are always welcome to pick up furniture from our North Chili showroom at 3530 Union Street. We usually have help on hand to load your vehicle — give us a call before you head over and we’ll have your pieces ready.
Do you offer design help, and do your salespeople work on commission?
Yes to design help, and no to commission. We’re one of the largest furniture showrooms on the west side of Rochester, set up as a relaxed, see-touch-feel experience, and we’re open seven days a week. Our in-house design staff will help you with wood, stain, fabric, and sizing decisions, and because they’re non-commissioned, there’s no pressure. We’re family-owned and a six-time Gold Medal Winner of the Rochester Choice Award for handcrafted furniture.
Ordering, Lead Times, Financing & Returns
How long does it take to get custom made-to-order furniture?
Custom solid-wood and upholstered pieces are built to your specifications, so they take time to handcraft. Lead times vary by manufacturer and piece. If you need something sooner, we also keep a large selection of floor stock in the showroom that’s available right away.
What is your return policy, and what deposit do I need for a custom order?
Because custom-made furniture is built specifically for you, all custom sales are final — we can’t accept returns or exchanges on custom pieces. To start a custom order, we ask for a one-third deposit. For in-stock items, we can, at our discretion, accept returns in original condition within 10 days of purchase with the original sales receipt. To begin a return, call us at 585.889.8520; once it’s authorized you can bring the item back to the store or arrange return shipping at your expense.
Do you offer financing or payment plans?
Yes. We accept most major credit cards, and we offer a financing program through Wells Fargo that gives most customers six months interest-free — and in most cases we can extend the financing period beyond six months on request. Wells Fargo financing is applied for in store.
Is the furniture guaranteed to last, and what if something’s wrong with it?
Our furniture is built to be heirloom quality — genuine solid hardwood on our wood pieces, and solid, kiln-dried hardwood frames with reinforced joints on our upholstery. Warranties vary by manufacturer: our upholstery partner Best Home Furnishings backs its frames and reclining mechanisms with a Limited Lifetime Warranty, with shorter coverage on components like foam, motors, and fabric. Beyond that, we stand by our pieces and take care of our customers — if you have a legitimate concern, we handle it. If an in-stock item isn’t right, the return policy above applies; custom pieces are made to your specifications and are final.
Custom Made-to-Order & Solid-Wood Construction
Can I order custom dimensions for a dining table or office desk?
Yes. Many pieces are made to order, and our Country Value line even includes a “Design Your Own Table” program. Whether you need a specific table length for a narrow room, an extra drawer in a chest, or a particular desk depth, our staff will help you spec the exact dimensions.
What types of solid wood can I choose from?
Our solid-wood furniture is most commonly built in oak, cherry, and maple, with pine available on select lines. You choose the wood, then the stain and hardware to match your home.
Is your furniture solid wood, or do you use veneers and particleboard?
Our Amish-crafted wood lines are built from genuine solid hardwood — heirloom pieces meant to last for generations, not flat-pack furniture. On upholstered pieces, the frames are solid, kiln-dried hardwood with reinforced joints, which is the foundation of a sofa that holds up for decades.
Do your dressers and desks have dovetailed drawers and full-extension glides?
Yes. Our Country Value pieces are built with solid-wood construction, dovetailed drawers, and full-extension slides, so drawers open all the way and hold up over decades of use.
Styles, Brands & Finishes
Is all your furniture Mission style, or do you carry modern designs too?
Both. Mission and Shaker are showroom staples, but we also carry Farmhouse, Transitional, and Contemporary/Modern designs. With modern hardware, fresh paint colors, and two-tone finishes, these pieces fit modern homes just as easily as traditional ones.
What furniture brands do you carry in the Rochester showroom?
Our featured makers include Country Value for customizable solid-wood furniture; Best Home Furnishings and Lancer for upholstery and living-room seating (both 20-plus-year partners); Quality Fabrications and Craftsman for Amish-made upholstery with hardwood frames; Millers for gliders; and Luke Home of Italy for leather.
Can I choose custom stains or two-tone painted finishes?
Yes — finishing options are extensive. You can choose classic stains such as harvest, provincial, golden, rich tobacco, and cappuccino, and we also do two-tone looks (for example a natural top with a painted base) for a more personalized, designer feel.
Bedroom, Dining & Home Office
Do you sell dining tables that expand with self-storing leaves?
Yes. Many of our solid oak, cherry, and maple dining tables — including the Country Value Monarch line — use smooth gear-driven slides and offer self-storing leaves that tuck under the tabletop, so you can expand from an everyday table to a full holiday table without storing leaves elsewhere.
Can I mix and match dining chairs with a different table?
Yes. Because the sets are customizable, you can pair the chair style you like — wood seat, fabric, or upholstered — with the table base of your choice, and tie them together with a coordinated finish.
Do you make adjustable-height or standing desks for home offices?
Yes — our home office line includes a Country Value adjustable-height lift desk with a solid-wood top, so you can work sitting or standing, along with desks, bookshelves, filing cabinets, printing tables, and credenzas.
Can I buy a full bedroom set, or just individual pieces?
Both. You can order a complete matching suite — bed, nightstands, and dressers in your chosen finish — or a single piece, like a standalone bed or chest. Sizes include King, Queen, Full, and Twin, with headboard and built-in storage options. Styles range from traditional to our contemporary Manhattan bed.
Upholstery — Sofas & Sectionals
Are your upholstered sofa frames made of solid wood?
Yes. The biggest factor in a sofa’s durability is the frame, and our pieces from Lancer and Best Home Furnishings use solid, kiln-dried hardwood frames with reinforced joints. We also carry Amish-made upholstered furniture from Craftsman and Quality Fabrications, including exposed solid maple and oak frames in Shaker and Mission styles.
Can I customize a sofa to fit my room?
Yes — Lancer’s “Built for Me” program lets you design your own sofa from the ground up. You choose the seat depth, arm style, back style, leg style and finish, cushion density, and your fabric or leather. It’s genuinely made-to-order upholstery on Lancer’s solid-hardwood frame — and the same Built for Me program also covers sectionals.
Can I design a custom sectional to fit my living room?
Yes — two strong programs cover this. Lancer’s “Built for Me” lets you fully customize sectionals with your choice of seat depth, arm style, back style, leg style and finish, cushion density, and fabric or leather. Best Home Furnishings offers motion sectionals in the Maverly and Unity series — each seat is an individual piece, so you can build an almost unlimited number of configurations, and a patent-pending bracketing system keeps the seats from separating.
Do you sell genuine Italian leather sofas in Rochester?
Yes. We partner with Luke Home of Italy for premium leather collections, and we also offer leather seating options through Best Home Furnishings and Lancer.
Fabric or leather — which is better for durability and family use?
Both can be excellent; it depends on your lifestyle. Leather wipes clean easily and develops a rich patina over time. Fabric gives you a huge range of looks, and our upholstery brands offer hundreds of durable, family-friendly fabric options. The best test is sitting on them in the showroom.
Upholstery — Recliners & Glider Rockers
What glider rockers do you carry, and are they good for a nursery?
Choose a traditional or contemporary glider rocker, with or without a matching glide ottoman. We carry award-winning gliders by Millers Amish Made Gliders, which are increasingly popular with our customers and a favorite in nurseries — loved by parents and babies alike. Every Millers glider rocker combines high-quality bearings with a precision-engineered frame for the longest, smoothest glide in the business. Choose from an endless selection of finishes and over 700 fabric options to define your own decorating style.
Do you offer swivel gliders?
Yes. Along with traditional gliders, we offer swivel glider options, and most styles can be paired with a matching glide ottoman for a complete, coordinated set.
What kinds of recliners do you carry?
We carry a range of recliners from Best Home Furnishings and Lancer to suit different rooms and needs — from traditional push-back styles to power recliners and lift recliners, including space-saving models that sit close to the wall.
What’s the difference between a manual and a power recliner?
A manual recliner reclines with a lever or by leaning back; a power recliner reclines at the touch of a button and often offers more positions, which many people find easier on the back and knees. Our staff can walk you through both in the showroom.
Care & Maintenance
How do I care for solid oak, cherry, or maple furniture?
Solid wood is easier to live with than most people expect: regular dusting and keeping your home’s humidity reasonably stable will protect it through seasonal changes. Avoid harsh solvents and silicone-based sprays, and our staff is happy to recommend a conditioner suited to your finish.
How do I care for leather and fabric upholstery?
Leather stays beautiful with regular dusting and an occasional quality leather conditioner to keep it from drying out. Fabric upholstery comes in a wide range of durable, family-friendly options; for spot cleaning, check the manufacturer’s cleaning code on your piece, and our staff can point you to the right approach.
